Assignment 5.1: Exposure Activity

Description

Please prepare this assignment in Microsoft Word, using the simulator above.

  1. Jeff wants you to take a good picture of his daughter on the playground. He would like the background to be blurry and have good exposure (not too bright and not too dark). It is a sunny day today (you can adjust the lighting on the top left).
    1. Shoot a good picture for Jeff and add a screenshot of the photo to your Word Document.
    2. Which settings did you use to create a good image (simply add a screenshot of the settings you used).
    3. Please explain why you chose these settings. How did your choice of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO settings influence the way your photograph looks?

  2. Jeff’s wife, Emily, saw the image you created. She loved it but decided that she wants you to take another picture. She said that she would like a photo of her daughter from approximately 6 feet with a non-blurry background. In the meantime, it got partly cloudy outside (you can adjust the lighting settings on the top left). Please take a photo for Emily with a non-blurry background and good exposure (not too bright and not too dark). She also mentioned that she does not like grainy photographs.
    1. Shoot a good picture for Emily and add a screenshot of your photo to your Word Document.
    2. Which settings did you use to create a good image (simply add a screenshot of your settings).
    3. Please explain why you chose these settings. How did your choice of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO settings influence the way your photograph looks?
